Opaline Brown-throated Conure

A rare mutation developed by Dutch breeder M. Haakmat that can be found in the aeruginosa subspecies of brown-throated conure. These opalines have significantly increased yellow plumage on their head, neck, shoulders, chest, thighs, and tail – though some green and blue remain on the wings, flights, and tail tip. If this mutation were to pop up in another brown-throated subspecies, the amount of brownish-orange color on their face would likely differ.
