Australian king parrot x Red-winged parrot

The combination of a male king parrot’s red and a red-wing’s green produce a piebald-like effect, as the two colors have difficulty mixing together. Female hybrids of this variety, however, will not have such prominent red coloration (pictured second). They were first recorded in the collection of Belgian breeder M. Bruyneel in 1948.
