Alexandrine parakeet x Indian ringneck parakeet

Due to how similar in appearance both species are, they are often unknowingly bred together. They will typically have reddish beaks, a larger size than indian ringnecks, faded red wing spots, and a misproportioned head. Hybrids are sometimes purposely bred in order to “transfer” certain indian ringneck color mutations over to alexandrines.
