Pallid Mustache Parakeet

A rare mutation developed in Thailand many decades ago. Pallid mustache parakeets are highlighter-yellow with a pale pink face and white mustache. Although it’s difficult to tell, their bellies are slightly lighter in comparison with the rest of their body color. A juvenile is pictured.

Violet Lineolated Parakeet

A recently-developed mutation that is almost always combined with dark factor and turquoise. Like other violet mutations, the bird’s color is saturated and darkened slightly. Since violets are found in many Thailand breeding circles, the gene may have originated there. Pictured is a violet lineolated parakeet with SF dark factor and turquoise.
