A common hybrid, musk x scaly-breasted lorikeets often get confused with rainbow lorikeet crosses. However, they lack the rainbow’s “oppressive” indigo belly, instead having green plumage with yellow chest markings, a bright red mask, and a bluish forehead and ears.
