Creamface Cockatiel

An uncommon mutation that originated in South Africa during the 1990s. Like pastel-face cockatiels, cream-faces are a form of par-blue (usually known as turquoise) that have fewer yellow and red pigments. Of all cheek-altering mutations (such as yellow-cheek and pastel-face), they have the palest faces; often being paired with pied or lutino to bring out their creamy color. An adult male cream-face is pictured first, a pied cream-face (unknown sex) is pictured second, and a juvenile cream-face + whiteface is pictured third.
