A very rare mutation that is often confused with par-blue, though without any green whatsoever. Blue Australian king parrots have darkish blue wings with varying amounts of white depending on the age and sex. The male’s light green wing stripe has become light blue and is the best way to differentiate a blue and a par-blue. A taxidermy male is pictured.
