A somewhat common hybrid that is rarely identified due to how similar the two parent species are. They are larger than the average military macaw, have slightly wider bare faces, and have eyes somewhere between light yellow and silver. Plumage color can occasionally be used to identify these hybrids as well – the feathers of a great green macaw is often described as “brighter” and more vibrant than a military macaw’s. There is no official name for these hybrids since they have never been created on purpose.
