Blue Patagonian Conure

Found in a small feral flock in Hawaii, this conure has all the hallmarks of a blue mutation in the species. No green, yellow, or red coloration exists on this bird. Rather than having fully blue feathers like a normal blue mutation conure, though, the typical olive feathers of a Patagonian make their feathers grey instead. A similar effect can be seen in grey green vs grey mutation parrots.

The cause for this mutation is almost certainly inbreeding due to the small population found on the island. However, the blue coloration may prove useful when camouflaging against the cliffs where they nest.
