Fallow Red-flanked Lorikeet

A fallow mutation that originated in Belgium but was not successfully developed any further. Fallow red-flanked lorikeets have a lime green backside, yellow chest, red eyes, and plumage that may vary based on the sex of the bird. While males should have pale blue cheeks and bright red patches on the face and sides, females only have slightly red-orange cheeks. Based on its plumage, the pictured bird is a female.
