A highlighter-yellow bird with bright red and yellow markings on the face and wings. In this particular bird, more red appears to be visible on the top of the head – a feature sometimes attributed to hybridization, though this is likely not the case here. Their bill and toes have more melanin than fallow and lutino red-lored Amazons, allowing them to be easily distinguished despite their similar plumage.
