Rainbow lorikeet x Scaly-breasted lorikeet

The most common first generation lorikeet hybrid in captivity and arguably in the wild. These birds typically have blue-green heads and yellow-orange chest feathers with green edges. Occasionally, they will breed with other hybrids or musk lorikeets. Rainbow and scaly-breasted lorikeet hybrids were first recorded by two Australian breeders in 1959.
