Timneh african grey and Jardine’s parrot X Brown-necked parrot

This hybrid has only been seen by the public when one individual was sold to a well-known parrot store in the US. There was initial confusion about the identity of the hybrid, but the true lineage was eventually uncovered in a now-deleted video from Parrot Wizard. Unfortunately, the bird, “Arno”, passed away several months after being sold due to health complications. It seems likely that these complications came from its mixed genetics.

The bird is mostly grey with darker wings and dry blue-scalloped feathers on the lower chest. These blue-scalloped feathers begin to turn red and green towards the rump. The tail and flight feathers of the bird are black while the bill takes after the Timneh African grey parent.
